Vanessa Kamau – Associate
Vanessa Kamau joined Peterson · Bradford · Burkwitz in 2011, where her practice is civil litigation, specializing in medical malpractice and employment law.  Prior to joining the team at Peterson · Bradford · Burkwitz, Ms. Kamau primarily practiced in the areas of construction defect litigation, real estate litigation, and employment law.  She is a member of the Langston Bar Association in Los Angeles. 

Ms. Kamau earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2009 from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where she was a member of the Black Law Students’ Association.  While in law school, she was honored with the Am Jur Award in Legal Writing, recognizing her achievement in attaining the highest grade in legal research and writing.  She also received the James E. Bye Scholarship and the Michael D. Nosler Scholarship: scholarships awarded to only two law students in the entire state of Colorado for academic excellence and a commitment to community service.  She was an active volunteer at the Sacred Heart House of Denver; a safe-house for battered women and children.

Ms. Kamau graduated with high honors from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Finance.
